Asian Slots

Asia covers a lot of ground, and so do the slots built around it. You get Japanese cherry blossoms, Himalayan temples, Chinese gods of wealth and martial-arts masters. The seven games below cover the Asian themed slots we list on the site.
All of them are five-reel games and most have a recognisable bonus round, and a couple lean on ways instead of paylines.

How each slot plays
Cherry Blossoms Slot
Cherry Blossoms is NextGen Gaming's take on a Japanese spring, with geishas, fans, a castle and red lanterns across the reels. It runs on twenty paylines. The free games round is where it opens up, because wins are tripled while it runs.

Fa-Fa Twins Slot
Fa-Fa Twins comes from Betsoft and drops paylines in favour of ways to win. The twins-logo wild appears on reels two to five. There is no free spins round here, so if that is what you are after, look elsewhere. Instead you get the Dual Reels feature, which lines up matching results on adjacent reels at the start of a spin, plus a Double Up gamble if you want to push a win further.
Shangri La Slot
Shangri La is another NextGen title, this time set in the Himalayas with a temple at the centre of the story. Three or more scatters send you to a bonus wheel, which can hand out free spins or the super free spins version.
Cai Hong Slot
Cai Hong is RTG's nod to Caishen, the God of Wealth, who turns up as the wild. The rainbow scatter is the one to watch, since it starts the free spins with a multiplier attached. Bonus picks during the round can add more spins on top of the ones you begin with.
Eagle Shadow Fist Slot
Eagle Shadow Fist takes a martial-arts angle, with a Taoist temple behind the reels and a fist as the wild. The free spins round can retrigger, which is the main reason to keep spinning once it starts. There is also a random progressive jackpot.
Shanghai Lights Slot
Shanghai Lights has an adjustable lines setting, shown in the control bar below the reels. Free games start the feature, and Super Spins take over from there, with wild reels doing much of the work.

Asian Beauty Slot
Asian Beauty was built by Microgaming, and that studio's catalogue is now published under the Games Global name. It pays by ways to win. Free spins are the headline feature, with a separate bonus round on top.
Picking an Asian slot
Start with the bonus style, because that is where you spend your time. If you want a free spins round, Cherry Blossoms, Shangri La, Cai Hong, Eagle Shadow Fist, Shanghai Lights and Asian Beauty all have one. If you would rather skip free spins, Fa-Fa Twins is the odd one out and gives you Dual Reels and a gamble instead.
Then think about how much control you want. Shangri La and Cai Hong use fixed paylines. Shanghai Lights and Eagle Shadow Fist list adjustable paylines. Fa-Fa Twins and Asian Beauty pay by ways to win, so they have no paylines at all.
Pick the bonus style that suits you and enjoy the spin.
